Best Accessible IT Volunteering Project

Awarded jointly to a volunteer and a charity who have worked together on a successful project which used IT to have a direct positive impact for people with disabilities.

This could be a project providing IT skills training for people with disabilities or building an accessible website for people with disabilities to access key information etc.

You will need to provide evidence of

  • Analysis of requirements - what was the IT issue relating to people with disabilities and how did you address this
  • Managing volunteer / charity relationship
  • Impact of the project for people with disabilities - this could be staff and/or service users or clients
  • Sustainability - evidence of how the charity was enabled to keep things going once the project had been completed

4. Please supply evidence of how the project has improved accessibility for your organisation (200 words or less).

 

5. In 500 words of less, why do you think your project deserves to win this award?

This should include details of the overall impact that the project/work/volunteer input has had. In this section evidence may be quantitative, qualitative or a mixture of both.
