Quick response means website is ready for charity launch
Client
The Congregation of the Mission (Abbey Wood) is a recently-formed charity that provides aid to help improve the lives of less fortunate individuals around the world.
The challenge
Newly-founded and lacking in technical experience, the Congregation of the Mission needed help creating a website to showcase their work, as well as training that would enable them to upload text and images independently.
Our help
iT4Communities were quickly able to put the Congregation of the Mission in touch with a volunteer who could help. She firstly showed them how to register a domain name and select a web-hosting service. Having created the site remotely, she visited the charity's headquarters and provided a hands-on training session that included topics such as how to upload information onto the site, how to create email accounts and how to organise the various pages.
The results
- The website was fully functional before the charity was officially launched, meaning that they were able to include their new web address in their leaflets
- The site looks professional, enhancing the charity's public image
- It is now possible to make donations to the charity online
What our client said
We selected this volunteer because of her ability to communicate her expertise in a way that was clear and concise. We made our
request in December 2010, and even though it was the holiday season, she gave a considerable amount of her time to train us.
