Case Study - Ashford & District Volunteer Bureau

This Volunteer Bureau needed troubleshooting and advice on their small IT system. They were helped by volunteer Kevin Groves.

Kevin has networked our computers as best he can given that our hardware is not the most up to date and we use different operating systems on each one.

Kevin has spent approximately 25 hours helping us with additional support by email and telephone

Lessons learnt

Kevin works locally and can call in after work at short notice We learned that we desperately need new equipment, that we may be looking at a wireless system in the future and we need a lot more money to invest in more efficient hardware

Outcomes

We received expert service for no financial outlay with the knowledge that there was someone who would respond to our calls/enquiries very quickly
