This charity carries out conservation and environmental work on a former railway line and associated woodlands in Essex. They were keen to have an attractive website to allow them to publicise their activities and to show some of their photos. However, it was important that they would be able to maintain the site themselves after it was built

Volunteer Paul Campbell worked remotely with the charity to choose an appropriate content-management system (CMS), design an attractive site layout and create the first few pages.

Project Summary

The project was to get a web site up and running. Web site to be totally managed by the group.

Project Delivery

Paul was able to suggest methods of hosting and to sort out the domain registration. The software used was supplied by CMS. With Paul's help we were able to get most of our ideas into action. There have been a few bugs which Paul has sorted. He has been very efficient in his dealings with us. Any queries being, generally, answered within a couple of days.

Lessons learnt

The key factor was the support given by Paul.

Outcomes

This web site has enabled us to let the local community know what we do. They can contact us more readily and we have included many links to other conservation type groups
