Generate Learning Opportunities project

Generate is based in Tooting in the London Borough of Wandsworth. Its mission is to create better days and better lives for people with a learning disability by working together with them and the people who know them well.

The challenge

Generate needed a new website that would engage with existing and potential users of their services. It needed to be a key interactive and promotional tool. They had insufficient expertise to build a site themselves so were looking for volunteer assistance. They needed the final website to be something that all staff were confident to update and use themselves.

Our help

iT4Communities volunteer Natasha Judd came to their aid with over eight years of creative website design experience. The website project took about eight months to complete (but Natasha took time off to give birth to her baby!). Not only did Natasha implement a stylish new website, she also ensured all the staff were trained and able to use it.

What our client said

Natasha was great. She took time to understand what we wanted and the type of organization we were. She spent time with groups of staff. She kept us on track and always did the work she committed to. We have this week received significant new enquiries through the website so we know it is working for us
