Charity gets their office running smoothly again
Client
Headway Northampton provides a range of specialist, social and therapeutic daytime activities, to people with an acquired head injury or who have had a stroke. They also provide information and advice to families and carers.
The challenge
Headway's staff had difficulties accessing shared files and folders. Their external backup drive was nearly full and they risked not having any backup of vital data.
Volunteer Russell Goodman
Our help
Russell Goodman, an iT4C volunteer since 2009, wanted to help local charities and groups and saw this as a good opportunity to put his skills into practice. As a result of the work that Russell did with Headway they are now able to work over the network and print to the main printer and the office is running smoothly again.
The results
- Twelve staff and numerous volunteers able to work more efficiently
- No fear of failed backups
- No expensive support costs
What our client said
Russell was very professional and he taught me a lot. I would certainly use an iT4C volunteer again if we had another problem with our computers.
