Website advice benefits young volunteers
Client
Volunteer Simon Hallpike
Planet Volunteer, based in the London Borough of Southwark, promotes projects and volunteering abroad in order to help bridge the gap with the developing world and to empower disadvantaged communities by helping them grow through knowledge and skills sharing.
The challenge
The charity knew that they needed a higher profile for their website to promote volunteering to young people. In essence they needed help with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) so that the Planet Volunteer website would be rated highly on popular search engines.
Our help
Simon Hallpike, an iT4C volunteer with over 25 years of IT experience, came forward to help. Planet Volunteer Founder and Director, Paola Pagliarin said,
Simon has been exceptionally good in setting up the website keywords fields and showing me how to add tags for SEO. He even helped me move the entire website
to a green web host.
The SEO development took about two months to complete.
The results

- Help to move website to green web host.
What our client said
iT4C has understood my project needs and the right profiled volunteer responded to our advertisement. Simon has been brilliant: he has a lot of expertise and
technical skills. I couldn't have done it without him! Very much appreciated! I am still in contact with Simon and we will be taking a look at traffic results on
Google Analytics and maybe do some tweaking of the SEO strategy that we have set up so far
