iT4Communities Volunteers Break £3 Million Milestone

The 5,300 iT4Communities volunteers have reached an amazing milestone of £3 million value delivered to charities and voluntary organisations.

The milestone was reached on Friday 4th July, earlier than expected, thanks to the dedication, time and talent of the volunteers and the iT4Communities team.

Since its launch in 2002, iT4C has grown steadily and now delivers over £660,000 in volunteer time annually, creating around 50 volunteer opportunities each month and working with 2,300 charities across the UK.

iT4C gets regular feedback on how important the service is to charities and some organisations believe they would no longer exist without the professional support offered by iT4Communities. Dee Waite of Leeds Mencap said: I cannot stress enough how important iT4Communities is for Leeds Mencap. Without this project I believe that we would unable to reach and help our target users. Thanks to iT4Communities and volunteer Tim for this super help!

John Davies, iT4Communities Director, said: There are always more charities who need help and we'll continue to encourage and support IT professionals willing to share their time and talent. £4 million won't be far off!
