Free IT and Web Accessibility Check

The Accessibility Champions, under the guidance of AbilityNet, continue to deliver work within the regions building on their work over the past year. Each geographical region has an accessibility champion whose remit is to raise awareness and advise on technologies (hardware and software) available to improve access to computers for people with disabilities or those who experience difficulties using the standard equipment. For details of your accessibility champion visit http://www.icthub.org.uk

Meanwhile, AbilityNet continue to offer website reviews to give organisations an overview of the accessibility of your organisation's website. Forty 40 free website reviews are available until March 2008. The review will cover areas such as text size, use of colours, ease of navigation or whether the site could be easily used by keyboard users. They will produce an overview which includes a useful appendix giving some useful accessibility advice.

To access the free review, please email your contact name, organisation, website address and email address to:accessibility@abilitynet.org.uk or Phone: 0800 269545

Please state that you are applying for the free ICT Hub web check as this is normally a chargeable service.
