Welcome to this issue of the Volunteers Newsletter. Currently we are preparing for the Volunteer Week in June. I am sure most of you are already involved in one way or another - which is absolutely brilliant. Here we are trying to think and plan what we can offer you to celebrate that week. Mind you, it's not going to be all work no play as we all know what happened to Jack. So if you have any great ideas, why don't you let us know.
There is a current trend in volunteering whereby a volunteer or a company adopts a post code and donate their skills to organisations' based within this geographical area. I think its neat and it seems to be quite successful. As such I was wondering if there are any IT companies out there who would be willing to give this a go and share with us their experiences. And if there are any other suggestions as to how we can improve our service and attract more volunteers, please let us know.
We would like to thank all those of you who have given us feedback on various aspects of our work and we look forward to more of the same. We would love to have more contributions for the newsletter from our readership. To submit suggestions for future issues of this newsletter email info@iT4Communities.org.uk.
Best wishes,
