iT4C would like to dedicate an area of the website for your CVs.
Do you support that idea and would you contribute?

Why we would like to:
Benefits for you:

• As professionals with a wealth of expertise you have a CV that you are rightly proud of and you should also be proud of the volunteering work you do, it seems natural to advertise these facts.
• Your volunteering work adds to your CV, you may well volunteer because you enjoy it but it also shows a breadth of experience on your CV; we wish to encourage people to build on this and benefit from it.
• It should facilitate professional and personal networks being built based on skills and experience.

To assist our process:

• Charities can feel secure in the knowledge that they are talking to people with expertise.
• We can be much more explicit about the skills level that you bring to the iT4C programme.
• Charities can see who is likely to be calling them and be better prepared, including being more enthusiastic/valuing your time.

Limitations:

• If all 4,000+ registered volunteers wish to upload their CV we may have some difficulties.
• CVs may be more useful to Charities if they are edited to be less technically focused.
