Win £250 for Your Charity - IT Volunteer Awards 2007

IT Awards 2007

'Working Towards a Better World'

Calling all IT volunteers: - let's celebrate the role IT professionals are playing in the communities in which they are active. The Awards are more than about money and prestige. They are to celebrate your skills and expertise and patience that you readily afford to small voluntary sector organisations. It's thanks to you that these organisations find that they are now able to efficiently deliver their services. This needs to be recognised and celebrated.

Your input as a volunteer is very much needed to make the awards a success. So why not nominate yourself or the charity you are working with for one awards. If you think you can take part in the awards in any other way, why don't you get in touch with me. iT4C is very open and welcomes input from you all.

This year, we have 4 categories and the theme for this year's event is "Working Towards a Better World".

1 - Best IT Volunteer
2 - Best IT Volunteering Project - impact on organisations
3 - Best IT Volunteering Project - innovation
4 - Best Accessible IT Volunteering Project

So if you have had any involvement at all with a charity on a volunteering basis we would welcome a nomination from you. £250 can go a long way for a small charity that entirely relies on donations. In addition to this the publicity surrounding the awards will raise the organisation's profile within the community which will result in more money and survival for the organisation.

For more information on the awards and to make a nomination visit: http://www.it4communities.org.uk/it4c/home/Awards2007/awards.jsp

Also take a look at last year's awards. If you weren't there last year, we like to see you this year.
