Free on-line training courses

Happy Computers have been supporters of IT volunteering for a number of years and now we see that they're offering free on-line training courses.

Initially there are two courses on offer:

• a sampler course for the ECDL qualification which might be of use to the charities you're working with
• a course on healthy work practices developed in partnership with AbilityNet which should be of interest to everyone

You can sign up for your free trial on their website and they promise that there are more courses in the pipeline. The course content may not be designed for IT professionals but you could check out the courses and recommend them to charities or even use the content to help in developing your own courses.
