Sadly in August we had to say goodbye to Development Consultant Tam Williams as she moved on to pastures new.
Tam joined iT4C in January 2006 and was responsible for PR and for the highly successful first annual volunteering awards held in November 2006. She was also our web editor and an enthusiastic editor of our newsletters. She always loved getting feedback on the newsletters and this will continue. Please let us know what you think about any of our features on info@it4communities.org.uk
Tam recently completed a Master of Studies (M.St.) in Social Enterprise and Community Development at the Judge Business School at the University of Cambridge. She hopes to have her research paper on a viable business model for IT-based social enterprises published soon and she's promised to let us know when that happens.
Tam's new role is as a Business Incubation Centre Manager and she'll be responsible for setting up and managing the business incubator and providing support to business start-ups housed in the facility. She's very much looking forward to her new challenge and also a shorter commute!
To bring the team back up to full strength we will have a new member of staff joining us very soon. Look out for an introduction in the next newsletter.
All the iT4C team will miss Tam and we wish her well in her new job!
