Welcome to this year's first issue of our Charity Newsletter.
Our resolutions for 2006 are:
- To be more informative
- Present you with a new and improved website that will simplify the whole process of volunteering opportunities management.
- Encourage a two way communication channel
For all this to happen we need to build on our existing process of communication. To aid this we have added 'Charity's Point of View' to the newsletter. This is a page where we would like organisations to tell us what we are doing right as well as what we are doing wrong. You may also tell us what you would like to hear more of. You can do this by emailing us on info@iT4Communities.org.uk. (Please note: what is finally printed is at the editor's discretion).
It is always with a certain amount of pride when we publish case studies of how the charities and volunteers we match share their experiences with us, as well as, with the rest of the community. So, a big ‘Thank You’ to those of you who have managed to do so, and we look forward to more of the same from everyone.
NEXT ISSUE!
In the next issue we will explore:
- A strategy for reducing telephone bills by making use of VOIP - this is basically using your computer for your telephone calls.
- Virtual Volunteering - what it means and how you can benefit from it.
And a lot more, so watch this space!
