We are pleased to announce the first of  iT4Communities Annual Conference and Awards which will be held on the 14th November 2006 at the BCS London headquarters. This conference is designed to promote the valued role volunteer IT Professionals are playing in supporting charities and voluntary sector groups. The conference will offer volunteers and charities an opportunity to network, share knowledge and experiences.

As part of this event we will be honouring volunteer IT Professionals with awards in various categories. To this end we would to invite you as volunteers to suggest the categories and criteria you would like included. We request that you share this information with organisations you are working and invite them to nominate you for the awards.  

We ask that you help get the word out about his wonderful event and encourage those you know to nominate a deserving IT Professional volunteer! The judging panel will include IT professionals and charities. This group will select the final awards recipients.  Information on how to nominate will be in the next issue of our newsletter which will be out beginning of July. So watch this space!
