iT4C is promoting remote volunteering in order to meet massive demand from small, often inadequately funded organisations. Your experience and the ability to use modern communication tools would go a long way in meeting their needs.

Types of Projects ideal for Virtual Volunteering are but not limited to:

• Preparing information for an organisation’s web site
• IT Strategy
• Making sure a web site is accessible for people with disabilities
• Advice and Registering of Domain names (but be clear about payment and ensure you stay "pro bono")
  
• Registering an organisation's home page and other appropriate pages with online search engines
• Designing a database system using an organisation’s in-house database software
• Providing advanced web site programming
• Website maintenance
• Training (some)
• Advice
