It's amazing how time flies! I can't believe that we are nearly half way through the year. This brings us nearer to our amazing first Annual Conference and Awards which is supported by the ICT Hub, the BCS and numerous other people and organisations in the IT sector as well as the Charity sector.

The Conference will include another new annual event - The IT Volunteer Awards. These awards aim to acknowledge and show appreciation of the great works being carried out by IT Professional Volunteers throughout the UK.

As part of this event we will be honouring volunteer IT Professionals, their companies and the organisations they volunteer for with awards in various categories. To this end we would to invite you as volunteers to suggest the categories and criteria you would like included. Email: info@iT4Communities.org.uk

We request that you share this information with organisations you are working and invite them to nominate you for the awards. We are preparing nomination forms to go out with the next newsletter. Please feel free to duplicate them and disseminate it to your constituency.

The ICT Hub is also hosting events aimed at the organisations you are working with, so it would be great if you can make them aware of these. You will find these on the Opportunities page.
