This is a plea from the co-ordinator of a new Didgi Lab Project in Merthyr Tydfil.  “We still have plenty of unoccupied time at our Didgi lab. We have plenty of young people who want to use it but we have no staff to train and supervise it. Can anyone help?”

Description         
This children's charity has just taken delivery of a complete PC suite and would
like a    number of volunteers to give basic training/support to their 400 young members in the general use of the computers and software (MS XP). As this suite has only just been installed there may be some technical issue to resolve along the way. The charity will be open every day of the week.

Workpackage Name                   Database & Training - Haywards Heath

Description           
This new Bible College requires a volunteer to assist their administrator to set up a database of tuition records. The administrator is confident using computers & databases but has not previously set up a database and wishes to ensure they start with professional advice to avoid complications later. They would like to work closely with the volunteer to ensure that they understand the database and can amend it once the volunteer is no longer available. The organisation has Microsoft Access. The envisaged database is not complex so this would be a quick project for a volunteer with the right skills.

Description
Charity working with deaf and hard of hearing people wishes to redesign their existing brochure website and additional interactivity including online booking. Design flair is important for this visually-oriented group.  The staff has a significant expertise in accessibility issues which are also a priority so would suit volunteer wishing to improve skills in this area.
