Awards Nominations Closing Date Extended

IT Volunteering Awards 2006
£250 Cash Awards in Each Category

The closing date for the awards nominations has been extended to the25th October 2006! This gives those of you who have not had the chance to make a nomination to do so. You can nominate a charities in as many categories as you wish, as long as the submission fulfills the criteria.

Volunteers can nominate themselves and / or their charity by submitting an online application form. Charities or community organisations involved with the winning project in each category will receive a cash award of £250.

IT Plaque

The awards aim to recognise the valued role that volunteer IT professionals play in supporting charities and voluntary sector groups.  There are awards for the best IT volunteers, for the charities and community groups that worked most effectively with IT volunteers, and  there are joint awards for the charities and volunteers who collaborated on the most innovative and effective IT volunteering projects.

The Categories are

1 - Best IT Volunteer
2 - Best IT Volunteering Project - impact on organisations
3 - Best IT Volunteering Project - innovation
4 - Best Charity for IT Volunteering
5 - Best Accessible IT Volunteering Project
