Volunteer Point of View

The new web system is really great - but only when it's used as it's supposed to. Is there any way that iT4Communities team make sure that when a volunteer has expressed an interest in a piece of work, the workpackage is made unavailable to other volunteers? We are mere mortals, we wouldn't know whether the workpackage is available or not!

There is nothing more annoying and frustrating like being told by a charity that someone is already working on a piece of work after doing loads of searches. Surely there must be away of saving everyone concerned a bit of time and bother! I am really annoyed.

I empathise with what you are saying. Every effort is being made to make charities aware of how inconvenient this can be for volunteers. There is a way that you can also help the situation. Read the piece Assign or 'Reject'?
