Fed up with incomplete projects?

Have you been forced to abandon an IT project before it was completed? You're not alone!

A recent survey at a computer conference in the United States found that over 43% of organisations had recently 'killed' an IT-related project before it was fully implemented.

Reasons given for ending projects early included changing business needs, the project not delivering as promised and the project going over budget.

If any of this sounds familiar you may be wary about embarking on another IT project, whether large or small. An incomplete project is a waste of valuable resources and frustrating for everyone involved.

We are very conscious of this issue at iT4Communities - it's one of the reason why we always stress the end-to-end nature of our service. Remember you can always ask for our help - at any stage of a project. If you need to change direction, deal with a personal issue with a volunteer, get more resources or just ask questions then we are here to help. When in doubt - call us (or email)!

But why not ask our iT4Communities volunteers to help with management and planning of projects before you start so that the possibility of later problems is reduced? If you're considering a new project why not request a volunteer to help at the planning stage - plan to succeed! A volunteer could help you define your requirements, ensure that the project fits with your overall strategy, estimate timescales and talk with potential suppliers. Even big companies get it wrong - but lets try to do better!

To request a volunteer sign in to your account on our website and follow the "Request a Volunteer" link or give us a call on 020 7796 2144.
