iT4Communities volunteers work for no payment
iT4Communities volunteers are helping you and other organisations for a whole range of reasons but one thing they should never do is ask you for payment for their services. The essence of their offer to you is in our charity pages A pro bono service. And here's what we tell our volunteers, again A pro bono service
Over the years since we launched in 2002 we have occasionally had evidence of a volunteer asking for payment. When we have solid evidence of this then we talk to the volunteer and, if there is no satisfactory explanation, we remove them from our register of volunteers and contact all organisations they have dealt with.
It is vital to the maintenance of the good reputation of our volunteers and our service that we find out about any misbehaviour by a volunteer. So please get in touch if you have any concerns about a volunteer's behaviour especially if payment for services is mentioned.
