Research into Skills-based Volunteering - survey for national recommendations and chance to win £50 voucher
Corporate Citizenship has been selected by Volunteering England to conduct a research project into employer-supported skills-based volunteering with funding from Capacitybuilders. As part of this research they are conducting surveys to gather opinions and experiences.
Prize Draw: two people who complete the survey will win £50 each in Marks and Spencer's vouchers. If you wish to take part in the draw please fill in your contact details at the end of the survey.
Corporate Citizenship are keen to get as wide a range of views as possible from representatives of companies and voluntary and community organisations. Whether you have no experience of skills-based volunteering or spend all your time managing it they'd be delighted to hear your thoughts and experiences.
Please complete the survey appropriate to your experience:
- Voluntary and Community Organisations with experience of skills-based volunteering
- Voluntary and Community Organisations without experience of skills-based volunteering
Employer supported skills-based volunteering is defined as: The provision of skills that are inherent to an employee's day-job, which they can use to help the voluntary and community sector develop either a specific project, or at a wider level, develop the organisation as a whole, within working hours.
The key outcome from this research will be recommendations for overcoming the challenges and developing the uptake and sustainability of skills-based volunteering. The recommendations will then be used to develop practical models for facilitating uptake. So if you have a great example of skills-based volunteering to showcase - or a huge struggle you'd like help to overcome - please take the time to fill in one of the surveys.
The surveys each take around ten minutes to complete, and if you'd like to be kept informed of the outcomes of the research there's an option to share your contact details. The deadline for taking part in the survey is 2nd February 2009.
