A big thank you to all the organisations that nominated for this year's iT4Communities IT Volunteering Awards - the nominations are now closed.We received an amazing 51 nominations from all over the country for the four categories. The iT4C team have been busy assessing all the nominations to prepare the shortlist that went to the Judging Panel on 23rd October.
The judges are drawn from both the private and voluntary sectors and have taken time out from their busy schedules to help iT4C make these Awards a real success. They are:

- Alan Pollard, British Computer Society - Vice-President Member Services

- John Oates, Author at The Register (online IT journal)
The Winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony which takes place on Thursday 29th November, 6pm - 8.30pm, at the Information Technologists Hall in London. Ken Olisa, Junior Warden at the Information Technologists Company, is the Keynote speaker at the ceremony. In 2006 he founded Restoration Partners, the boutique technology merchant bank and today he is a Director of Reuters and Open Text. Ken is a Fellow of the British Computer Society and Chairman of London homeless charity Thames Reach. Ken said that he is "absolutely delighted to be part of this event".
