There have been a couple of changes to the iT4C team in the last couple of months. Firstly we would like to welcome Josh Hoole, the new Development Consultant who joined us in late September.
Josh has an English & Media degree and was previously employed as Communications Coordinator for Richmond Council for Voluntary Service (RCVS). He will work on the Marketing and PR side of iT4C to promote our charity as the main source of IT Volunteering in the UK. Although his first task will be helping ensure the success of the 2nd Annual iT4C IT Volunteer Awards on 29th November.
Joshs communications background in both the private and voluntary sectors means he is happy talking to people from all walks of life and is eager to hear from as many of you as possible. He is keen to listen to your IT volunteering stories as a voluntary organisation or a volunteer so iT4C can let others know the excitement and benefits of both using and being an IT Volunteer all over the country.
Josh said: I am really looking forward to working for iT4C to help increase the knowledge and strategic use of IT in the voluntary sector. I want to meet the great IT Volunteers who give their time and talent to help make this happen, and encourage more IT professionals to share their valuable expertise with charities needing IT help.
Josh works full time so please feel free to contact him on 020 7796 2144 or email josh@wcit.org.uk with your stories and ideas to help make IT4C the first port of call for IT Volunteers and volunteering.
Josh has joined us as a replacement for Tam Williams who, after almost two years with iT4C, has moved on to pastures new. Tam was responsible for PR and for the highly successful first annual volunteering awards held in November 2006. She was also our web editor and an enthusiastic editor of our newsletters.
Tam's new role is as a Business Incubation Centre Manager and she'll be responsible for setting up and managing the business incubator and providing support to business start-ups housed in the facility. She's very much looking forward to her new challenge and also a shorter commute!
All the iT4C team will miss Tam and we wish her well in her new job!
