Welcome to the November 2007 issue of the iT4Communities Volunteer Newsletter.
With less than a month to go to our annual awards ceremony it's "all systems go". Nominations closed a month ago and more than 50 entries have been whittled down to a shortlist. The short-listed entries were evaluated by our panel of seven judges last week. The finalists in the four categories will be shown on our website soon and the winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 29th November at the WCIT Hall. If you'd like to come along for a chance to meet the winners, iT4C staff, charities and other volunteers there's still time to book your place.
In this month's issue we've a suggestion that you could fit in a short volunteering task while you're away from home or, if you're more adventurous, the VSO are always looking for IT professional volunteers.
If you've telephony skills the Telephone Helplines Association would like to hear from you. And you might be interested in accessing the skills of the UK Circuit Riders group.
As always we've our latest Opportunities of the Month and a full round-up of news from within the team.
I hope you enjoy this newsletter. Please send your comments - good or bad - to info@it4communities.org.uk
Best wishes,
Anne Donnelly - Newsletter Editor
