Welcome
Welcome to the July issue of the iT4Communities volunteer newsletter.
Firstly some housekeeping news - during the next couple of weeks our website developers will be moving the site to a new server. There will be a very short period of downtime outside of working hours and you may see a redirection page briefly until the changed DNS propagates. We hope there won't be any problems but if you do have any difficulties please call us on 020 7796 2144.
In this issue of the newsletter:
- We hosted the June event for London Girl Geeks at the WCIT Hall
- iT4Communities in Australia - John Davies spent a week in Australia
- The British Computer Society now has a LinkedIn group
- Do you know someone who could be Silver Surfer of the Year?
- This month's case study looks at a website providing information for disabled people
- Our usual round-up of IT and volunteering related events
- The all-important opportunities of the month - charities in urgent need of help
As always we love to hear from you. If you have comments on any of the features in this newsletter, about iT4Communities or about your volunteering please get in touch with us via info@it4communities.org.uk
