Project 10100
Google celebrated its tenth birthday on 28th September. As part of their celebrations they have launched Project 10 100 - pronounced "Project Ten to the Hundred".
Google people clearly have the same ethos as iT4Communities - they want to help people to help other people.
10100 is a big number - too big for your pocket calculator! - and Google are using it to represent how small ideas can help many people - not only the recipients of the idea but also the helpers, the volunteers and the person who had the idea in the first place.
Google have committed $10 million of funding to kick-start the best five ideas submitted. All they need now are good ideas to help people.
Ideas must be submitted by 20th October. Go to the Project 10100 website to read more and to submit your idea.
