The future of iT4Communities

 

Thank you for your ideas about how we can negotiate the choppy waters after our government funding has ended and ideas about keeping iT4Communities vibrant and growing.

These ideas included:

  1. big funders we could approach (Big Lottery for example),
  2. volunteers asking for our logo to include on their own website/blogs etc
  3. asking charities we support to pay a small admin charge
  4. recommendations for improvements to the dating of opportunities

We would also welcome ideas about:

  • People who might wish to sponsor or fund our activities
  • Ways to improve our services
  • Good ideas about spreading the work of volunteering
  • Increasing donations

With reference to your suggestions we are investigating an affordable admin charge for charities and we have a fundraiser approaching Trusts and other funders. We have a volunteer consultant helping with corporate sponsorship and the team are now home based and hot desking in the office to keep our overheads down. Thank you! Please keep the ideas flowing.
