Awards - The Nominations are in and the short list begins
The IT Volunteer Awards 2008 ceremony is on Thursday 19th February 2009, 2 - 5pm, at the British Computer Society London Office, 5 Southampton Street, London WC2E 7HA. Click here to book your free place so we can prepare enough free refreshments for everyone.
The nominations are now in we are busy selecting the short list. The high quality makes our job very difficult when sifting through the best applications. When we do whittle them down to the final few they will be sent to our judges:
- Jo Connell - ITC Master
- Nigel Lewis - AbilityNet Chief Executive
- John Oates - Author at The Register (online IT journal)
- Alan Pollard - British Computer Society President
- Ian Ryder - appiChar Managing Director and founder
- Jonathan Soar (Chair) - ITC Panels Warden and WCIT Charitable Operations Chair
- Anne Stafford - iT4Communities Deputy Programme Director
- Terry Stokes - lasa ICT Director
We will announce the three finalists for each category after the judges meet on 21st January at the Information Technologists' Hall.
