Why do you volunteer?

 

Perhaps the most frequent question we're asked by organisations needing help is Why would a volunteer want to help us?

They can't seem to believe that highly skilled professionals are willing to give their time to help voluntary organisations. We appreciate that people volunteer for many reasons - all of the iT4Communities team have volunteered at some stage in their life - but we'd like to be able to answer the question honestly.

So we've added a field to our newly designed volunteer registration form so that you can tell us. Already we've seen some inspiring comments that we can use to reassure organisations needing help.
