Welcome
This will be the last iT4Communities Volunteer Newsletter of the year, so we would like to say a very big thank you to you all, for your hard work during 2009 in supporting the numerous organisations that have contacted iT4Communities and requested help from our band of volunteers.
We are getting more volunteers registering than ever before. Last month we had 120 new volunteer registrations and by the end of the year the number of volunteer registrations will be more than double that of 2008. We are all working very hard to provide you with a supply of new projects for you to get your teeth into - and a plea to all you new volunteers - please let us know whether you are having any difficulties contacting the organisations or if you have started, or possibly even finished work on a project. Please e-mail us at info@it4communities.org.uk
In this month's issue:
- An update on the Nominet mentoring project
- Digital Unite are getting ready for the next Silver Surfers' Day
- An inspiring case study from Kenya
- This month's Opportunities of the Month
We hope you all have a very happy and peaceful Christmas and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
Anne Donnelly, Newsletter editor
