Workshop overview

Overview: participative and practical 2/3 hour workshop about working with IT volunteers

Aim: To enable attendees to feel confident that they could use an IT volunteer to support their organisation and to share ideas/tips about how an IT volunteer could make a positive difference

Workshop Content:

  • Is an IT volunteer the best option/an option/the only option?
  • What are the advantages & disadvantages of using IT volunteers?
  • Voice your experiences and/or concerns
  • How to manage an IT volunteer project to success
  • Looking at appropriate IT projects; ideas and tips

Who should attend: Anyone responsible for your organisation's IT (or the difference it makes) and in a position to/wish to manage an IT volunteer; managers, directors or administrators. No IT skills required of attendees.

Workshop materials

The workshop materials include a PowerPoint presentation and an exercise (RTF).
